Hands-free phone calls and music play

With a new generation of Bluetooth capability, and control buttons handily placed on both sides of the earphone cups for play, stop/pause, previous, next and volume controls, what’s to stop you from going all hands-free?

The Kinivo BTH240 wireless headphone sets support a wide range of Bluetooth enabled devices, from music players to phone handsets; this includes A2DP support for iPods, smartphones (iPhones and Android phones), tablets and even supported gaming consoles.

How many hours can a full battery charge take you?

Consider at least 10 hours for your use, and that includes tuning to music and talking time as the headsets sit uniquely beside each ear.

Even more features of the BTH240 Stereo Bluetooth Headsets by Kinivo

  1. The Micro-USB battery charge port makes a lot of sense with such a “NextGen” accessory such as the BTH240 wireless headphones. (And with an extended battery life to back it up, you’ll see how convenience goes a long way).
  2. You won’t have to fear disconnecting your paired device should you need to operate from your gadget, a factor that’s a common nuisance with lower quality Bluetooth headphone sets.
  3. There’s also a neat foldup to help you stow away the headsets in your pouch when done blasting your music, hands-free of course. This makes the BTH240 stereo earphones very handy to use while on the go, without taking up much space.
  4. Given the decent pricing compared to other higher costing wireless headsets, the Kinivo BTH240 Bluetooth stereo headsets are well worth their tag.

Where can you buy them? At the manufacturer’s website of course :)

AbbaMania keeps ABBA alive

Abba singersIt’s one of those bands that can best be described as legendary – your parents, grandparents and even your great grandparents can probably sing-along with you to good ol’ ABBA. The band was formed over four decades ago but the music still lives on. Many have sung and re-sung the classics but standing out from the crowd as probably the next best thing to the original ABBA during this age and time is a group called AbbaMania – and they are doing a pretty good job at reviving the essence of the band.

ABBA was first formed in 1973 by four Swedish musicians Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group was formed to perform at the Eurovision Pop Music Festival. They didn’t win anything at the event but they did go onto win more popularity the world-over than any one of them probably ever imagined.

They became the most successful pop band of the ’70s and their song Waterloo won the Grand Prix at the Eurovision Song Festival in 1974. Thereafter they produced hit after hit that are commonly known to this day. Although the group broke apart in 1982, all four group members continued in different musical paths. Agnetha and Frida became solo recording artists, and Benny and Bjorn focused on music writing and record production.

Some of the band’s infamous hits include Take A Chance On Me, Money Money, The Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me Knowing You, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Lay All Your Love On Me, Super Trouper, I Have A Dream, S.O.S., Chiquitita, Fernando, Voulez Vous, Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight), Does Your Mother Know, The Name Of The Game, Dance (While The Music Still Goes On), Honey Honey, Our Last Summer, Thank You For The Music among many others.

Amazingly, people still haven’t gotten sick of the songs. Their comeback in the motion picture Mamma Mia released a couple of years ago only made the songs gain even more popularity. Which brings us to the tribute group AbbaMania.

The group gives audiences the closest they will see to an actual ABBA concert. After being formed in 1998 their shows have sold out in all parts of the world that they’ve performed – Denmark, England, Portugal, Scotland, Belgium, France, Ireland, Germany and more.

The band comprises of Ewa Scott who is a classical singer from Poland; Sharon Fehlberg who is a Scottish actress, singer and songwriter; Steven Galert, who is the musical director; Adam Robertson, multi-instrumentalist from the UK; guitarists Bryan Smith and Gareth Whitehead; and drummer Lee Brady.

The group received much appreciation when they performed in the Philippines over a year ago and they are back again with the beats this week.

Abbamania is set to perform in: Baguio Country Club in Baguio City on March 25; Waterfront, Cebu City Hotel and Casino on March 27; L.L. Macias Sports & Cultural Center in Dumaguete City on March 28; and at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City on March 30.
